Fees

Appraisal fees are hourly based and not based on the value of the property. Clients receive a written report stating the property’s value for the stated purpose. If you are not certain whether your property is valuable enough for a formal appraisal, do not hesitate to contact us for a NO CHARGE consultation.

Standards & Ethics

We adhere to the standards & ethics of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice. The first step of the process requires a clear understanding of client’s requirements and the intended use of the appraisal. All appraisals are performed objectively and in a professional and timely manner. All information is held in strictest confidence except where disclosure is required by the owner or law.

If we are contracted to perform a formal appraisal, we are NOT allowed to purchase the items appraised, though we can recommend other reputable dealers or auction houses. If you are more interested in selling your property and just want a free evaluation (not a formal appraisal) and purchase offer, we encourage you instead to visit our regular dealer site at RareBookBuyer.com
